I have been trained to work with and find the causes for neck pain, shoulder pain, arm pain, hand pain, hip pain, back pain, leg pain, foot pain, headaches and more. Knowing that postural habits are the usual cause for our pain and that every client is unique, I perform a free physical evaluation before your session, which is crucial to the success of massage therapy. Not only is my practice about the work, but it is of utmost importance to me that you feel comfortable and safe under my care. When you come for your first visit, I'll provide a one-page intake form for you to fill out. Not only will I consider the information you've written, but I will listen to what you have to say about your activities of daily living (ADLs) in order to get an overview of what repetitive strain you may be placing on your musculoskeletal system, including emotional stress which reflects in the tissues. After the physical evaluation, which doesn't take but 15 minutes or so, the session will begin. All pressure will be gauged to your comfort level. I'll explain what I am doing and why, unless, of course, you prefer peace and quiet... which I will respect. When the session is complete, I'll wait for you in the next room where I'll provide and explain your self-care instructions. There is no cost for the evaluation and self-care. You will be charged for the hands-on work only.

We provide relief from stress, pain and fatigue with a variety of massage and natural health methods. We offer Swedish massage for relaxation, Deep Tissue for relief from muscular tension, and Therapeutic Massage for pain relief and optimum health. All massages are a blend of several modalities, depending on the needs of the client. Appropriate pressure is according to the comfort level of the client. Several therapists are on staff, each with their unique areas of expertise. Healing Arts is a comfortable professional center, that is clean and quiet. We have three therapy rooms, good parking, and are Handicap accessible. Massages are by appointment, hours are available 7 days a week -- mornings, afternoons and evenings. Payments accepted include cash, checks, and credit cards. Gift Certificates and Packages (save with a series) are also available.

All massage therapy is performed on an outcall basis--either at your home, office, or hotel room. I perform sports massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy massage, and Swedish massage for the every day person, the weekend warrior, and/or the competitive athlete. My over 33 years experience as a massage therapist, 30+ years experience as an exercise physiologist, and 19+ years experience as a physical therapist have given me an excellent working knowledge of the human body. I published a masters thesis on "The Effects of Massage Therapy on Delayed-Onset Muscle Soreness after Unaccustomed Exercise for Healthy, Sedentary Adults" in 1992. I was a staff massage therapist for the Lipton International Players Championships (tennis) in Key Biscayne, Florida for 4 years, having the privilege of working with the top tennis players in the world as well as other professional and Olympic athletes.
