Our philosophy is that massage therapy is a powerful too to bring the body into balance and out of pain. Much of the pain felt in our bodies is because of soft tissue imbalances that create strain patterns that over time cause pain. Our bodies are continually fighting gravity and the day to day wear and tear of life by being plastic and compensating to do our daily activities. We are blissfully unaware of how much our body is twisting, and bending and compressing to adapt. This strategy works well. But over time these compensations lead to pain. We use advanced massage therapy techniques to unwind these compensations and decompress and straighten the body so that there is less strain to cause the pain. It really is that simple. The challenging part is analyzing the body for postural distortions and strategically correcting the tissues. That is where we come in. Sessions are 60 or 90 minutes in length, and I offer reduced rates for more frequent appointments. Clients enjoy this benefit when they schedule bi-weekly or even weekly massages, short or long term. My practice is affiliated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, and we routinely coordinate treatment with other referring doctors, trainers, and healthcare entities. Massage is offered currently by appointment only, as early as 8:00am, during your lunch break, and in early evening hours. Saturday hours (appointment only) are 10:00am to 3:00pm. I also practice in Ellisville, near Manchester and Clarkson Roads, at Creekside Massage. In addition to the same styles of massage I offer at my Big Bend office, at Creekside we offer Couples Massage in what is--in my opinion--the best massage suite in town! I believe that massage improves (just about) everything; however, I do not work outside of my scope, nor pretend to be a doctor. Chair Massage is $1 per minute. No less than 10 minutes per person. I do groups of people of 3 or more in a persons home, a business, an event or party, and even after school day cares for children (with signed permission slips from parents only);as well as for the elderly in nursing homes (also w/ signed permission slips from their guardian if they have one). I have been doing massage since I was 14 years old on family and friends. A few years ago I went to school at Keiser Community Colledge. Mr. Ron Makendree was my teacher. I was his student for 10 months and then studied for the MBLx State Boards, which I got an "A" on. I love chair massage and the way it assists in the healing process as well as greatly relaxes a person in a short period of time..
