Medical Massage for Injuries, Wellness and Performance
Deep tissue and sports massage for wellness and performance. Each massage is tailored to the current goals of clients, such as relief of pain, improved flexibility, more energy, stamina, etc. Migraine and headache syndromes are a specialty. Many of my clients have been with me for several years as they meet their goals and set new ones. Getting there is fun! Sometimes performance goals are athletic, like running marathons or improving golf scores. Other clients set goals to improve their quality of life, such as eliminating headaches and back pain. Massage is a major factor in preventing injuries as well as maintaining health. I am often told my empathy for people's conditions gives me an edge in treating conditions such as migraines, fibromyalgia and TMJ.I also use my skills as a medical and science writer and researcher to track downmassage solutions to muscle skeletal problems. I listen. I care. I am interested in helping people feel betterand bette.
Education/Training
My education has focused on sports and rehabilitation massage -- I'm a bit of a massage nerd and am always taking classes and learning new things -- especially from my clients.
Bio
I've been doing massage therapy since 1995. I also write about health and medicine. My articles have appeared in Massage Magazine, The New York Times and many newspapers.
