Tamar Myers, LCMT
Comprehensive bodywork for a variety of issues.
In practice since 1992.
Tamar Myers has been in private practice since 1992. She specializes in working with clients looking to make lasting lifestyle changes to improve their well-being. Tamar has studied deep tissue bodywork, cranio-sacral therapy, visceral massage, neural manipulation as well as movement coaching. Tamar is a certified Aston-Patterner which is a comprehensive approach emphasizing assessment making each treatment specific and unique to the individual. Tamar also incorporates Active Isolated Stretching and fitness consulting to empower clients to attend to their tension patterns between sessions.
It is important to understand that, when coming to see Tamar, you will experience a variety of bodywork modalities. After assessing what is happening in your body, a unique treatment will be designed based on your needs for that day. There is no standard protocol since every body is different and needs to be addressed individually.
Tamar's work is strongly influenced by the concepts in manual osteopathy.

Bio
Tamar began her career in massage therapy shortly after college and she loved it from the first touch. She began her private practice immediately after graduating from massage school and started the teacher training there shortly thereafter. Tamar quickly discovered that teaching was another love and had the pleasure of teaching at one of the best massage schools in the country for 15 years.
When not doing massage, Tamar spends a lot of her time dancing and being active. Between, folk dancing, contra/squaredancing, east coast swing, lindy hop, west coast swing and exercise, sitting still is not something Tamar does very easily. It was this interest in movement that led her to study with Judith Aston, the founder of Aston-Patterning.
Aston-Patterning combines massage, myofascial work, postural and movement assessment, movement coaching and fitness to create the session that is the most individually tailored to a person's needs that it can be. Tamar is thrilled to work with people in a way that takes time to figure out what is going on in a person's body and what the best approach is to their issues.
