If it is at all possible it is more economical for you to come to me to get the lowest price possible. When doing an outcall I only do a minimum 90 minute massage at $90 plus travel and setup fee which is $25 to $50 depending on the distance from my studio. When you come for your first visit, I'll provide a one-page intake form for you to fill out. Not only will I consider the information you've written, but I will listen to what you have to say about your activities of daily living (ADLs) in order to get an overview of what repetitive strain you may be placing on your musculoskeletal system, including emotional stress which reflects in the tissues. After the physical evaluation, which doesn't take but 15 minutes or so, the session will begin. All pressure will be gauged to your comfort level. I'll explain what I am doing and why, unless, of course, you prefer peace and quiet... which I will respect. When the session is complete, I'll wait for you in the next room where I'll provide and explain your self-care instructions. There is no cost for the evaluation and self-care. You will be charged for the hands-on work only.

Hello, my name is Amanda Joy Lathan. I am a Certified Massage Therapist and Level II Reiki Practioner. I received my training at Virginia School of Technology in Virginia Beach, VA from October 2001 through March 2002. I opened my first business in May 2003 and have been at The Healing Fountain since May 2009. The other therapists working with me have all been certified for over six years. By analyzing your health information and preferences from your client intake form we customize the massage to fit your individual needs. During each session heating pads are used on the back and neck to warm and relax tight muscles. This helps to relieve pain and allows the therapist to penetrate deeper into the muscle tissue to help break up painful muscle adhesions. We use a combination of various techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, accupressure, reflexology, energy work and a variety of stretching techniques. Aromatherapy is included and heated towels are used at the end of each session to soothe the skin and remove any excess oils. I do hot stone massage, and have been practicing the technique for over 10 years. I do offer reflexology in addition to a 45 minute minimum treatment. I have extensive spa experience, and do wraps and body treatments as well. Treatments range from 45 minutes to 180 minutes in length.
