I have been in practice for over 20 years in the Portsmouth area. My style is eclectic in nature, utilizing the many techniques I have learned over years of giving massage and taking continuing education courses. I specialize in several massage and bodywork techniques including Deep Tissue/Deep Muscle, Muscle Release, Pregnancy Massage, Thai Yoga Massage, Energy Work and Onsite Chair Massage. I tailor my sessions to accommodate the preferences and needs of my clients. Of course the fundamental techniques of Swedish massage with it's continuous effleurage strokes, deep kneading and stretching of tense muscles almost always shows up in a session to allow full body integration to take place. Some form of Thai massage is often included or can be given as a separate treatment on it's own. I have a special table for Pregnant clients so they are able to comfortably and safely lie face down on the table. On-Site Chair Massage or Corporate massage is another vibrant aspect of my practice. A 15 minute massage is administered in a specially designed chair while clients are fully dressed. Great for parties or gatherings as well. I also instruct my clients in self-care techniques to ensure that healing and lifelong well-being is supported.

Courtney Scharneck is a Nationally Certified massage therapist who attended Cortiva Muscular Therapy Institute in Watertown, Massachusetts and has been a member of the American Massage Therapy Association since April 2006. Courtney specializes in sports massage, concentrating on the release of musculature tension and pain, correcting postural misalignment. After completing her training at MTI, Courtney began working in the massage field part time in the Spa industry and working as the MT for the Northeastern Track team. Courtney initiated her transition to full time massage therapy by spending three months in Thailand studying Nuad Bo-Rarn Northern Thai Massage and Thai Foot Reflexology. Combining her varied strengths and the client's individual needs, Courtney creates a unique session, designed to encompass the client's goals. A native of Boston Courtney enjoys running, working out, hiking, reading, the beach, traveling, live music, the Red Sox and writing.
