I typically work with clients at the office 4 days a week (M, T, TH, F), working day and evening hours. In addition, I perform location chair massage and in-home massage therapy sessions. My area of focus is pregnancy massage, but I see a wide range of clients with a variety of needs from relaxation to specific therapeutic work. My clients range in age from 6 mos to late 80's. I am trained in Swedish, Deep Tissue (including Japanese Resorative massage), Hot Stone, Thai Yoga Therapy, Lymph Drainage Massage, Face Lift Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, Shiatsu and Reiki. In addition, I have experience with Cranialsacral, Lymph Drainage, Auyervedic and Chinese medicine/massage, and acupressure. I am certified in Nurturing the Mother® Pre- and Perinatal Massage, which includes fertility, pregnancy, labor, postpartum and infant massage.

Bio
Kathy has been a working massage therapist since graduating with top honors from the Omaha School of Massage Therapy (OSMT) in January 2006. Before that, she enjoyed a long career in theatre, working as an artist/administrator at several Omaha theatres, including the Omaha Community Playhouse and the Emmy Gifford Childrens Theatre. After that, she went to work in the corporate world in sales, marketing and advertising before indulging her passion for alternative and complementary medicine. Kathy worked as a temporary therapist at OSMT and Oasis Massage & Spa, and has also worked with Avant Salon & Spa, Just Relax and Morningstar Center. She joined the staff at Body Haven five years ago and became part owner of what is now Body Haven Wellness Center one year ago. Kathy is certified in Nurturing the Mother® Pre- and Perinatal Massage, and has an active and growing practice working with fertility, pregnancy, postpartum and infant massage. In addition to Swedish massage, Kathy also performs Deep Tissue, Thai Yoga Therapy, Active Isolated Stretching, Japanese Restorative Massage, Face Lift Massage, Hot Stone, Reiki, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy and Corporate Chair Massage. She is an Omaha native and, when not working with her clients, enjoys hiking, biking, working out, reading, gardening and spending time in nature or with friends and her family: husband Steve, and their three grown sons Luke, Andy (and his wife, Dani) and Peter. Kathy recently finished her Associate of Science in Massage Therapy through Herzing University's Omaha School of Massage & Healthcare, where she is also an assistant Kinesiology teacher.
