| Zen Massage Center considers massage a necessity rather than a luxury and caters to "professionals who need massage to perform their jobs without pain and discomfort." The cozy 650-square-foot, three treatment room spa is located in Maywood, New Jersey. Interiors are Oriental-inspired with pastel yellow walls, Japanese tatami mats on the floor, and screens decorating the facility. The spa's focus is massage and offerings include deep-tissue, Swedish, sports, shiatsu, hot stone/raindrop, reflexology, and medical. Clients may also arrange home visits for massages as well. Lypossage, a body contouring and cellulite treatment is also available. New clients get a discount on their first one-hour massage. |

| Born in Poland in 1961, Tom Augustyniak received his Masters in Physical Education in Wroclaw, Poland in 1985. In 1997 he moved to the United States. In 1999 Tom graduated with honors from Helma Institute of Massage Therapy. A Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and a member of the ABMP, Tom began teaching Shiatsu and Swedish Massage at the Helma Institute. He continued to study Shiatsu with Master Ohashi and graduated from the Ohashi Institute in 2003. For over 30 years Tom has also been an accomplished practitioner of Judo, receiving 3rd degree black belt and 10 medals in National Championship of Poland and the US, including gold medal in 2008. Years of experience in physical education, coaching, and teaching have given Tom a very deep understanding of the human body and enhanced his ability to treat sports and repetitive stress injuries as well as use massage to help his clients maintain good health. |
