Issan Thai Massage - WE AIM TO HEAL
What’s a Thai Yoga Massage? Thai massage is believed to have been developed by Jivaka Kumar Bhaccha, physician to Buddha, more than 2,500 years ago in India. It made its way to Thailand, where the Ayurvedic techniques and principles gradually became influenced by traditional Chinese medicine. For centuries, Thai Yoga massage was performed by monks as one component of Thai medicine. What does Thai Yoga massage feel like? Thai massage is more energizing and rigorous than more classic forms of massage. Thai massage is also called Thai Yoga massage, because the therapist uses his or her hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like stretches. Many people say Thai massage is like doing yoga without any work. Muscle compression, joint mobilization, and acupressure are also used during treatment. People describe Thai Yoga massage as both relaxing and energizing. What should I expect during my visit? Thai Yoga massage is usually done on a padded mat on the floor. No oil is applied, so you are fully dressed. You are usually asked to bring or wear comfortable clothing to the massage. A typical Thai Yoga massage is 60 minutes to two hours long. What conditions is Thai Yoga massage used for? Many people find that Thai Yoga massage has the following benefits: •relaxes •reduces stress •improves circulation •increases energy •increases flexibility •improves range of motion •centers the mind and body Precautions - Thai Yoga massage is not recommended for certain people: •infectious skin disease, rash, or open wounds •immediately after surgery •immediately after chemotherapy or radiation, unless recommended by your doctor •prone to blood clots. There is a risk of blood clots being dislodged. If you have heart disease, check with your doctor before having a massage •pregnant women should check with their doctor first if they are considering getting a Thai Yoga massage. A Thai Yoga massage in pregnant women should only be done by therapists who are certified in pregnancy massages. •massage should not be done directly over bruises, inflamed skin, unhealed wounds, tumors, abdominal hernia, or areas of recent fractures. Additional tips •Don’t eat a heavy meal before the massage and if it's your first time at the clinic or spa, arrive on time! •Be sure that your Thai Yoga massage therapist has your complete health history, because people with certain conditions should not have Thai massage. •If you feel discomfort at any time, let your Thai Yoga massage therapist know. People with Fibromyalgia and Sciatica have found some relief from this type of massage! We are minutes from Philadelphia, PA Only $60* For 1 Hour *1st time customers only! Relax with Massage and Hypnosis
17 years of practice has given me a very good intuitive sense with clients. I offer therapeutic massage for pain and stress management, an eclectic blend of modalities that includes Deep Tissue Massage, Shiatsu and Swedish Massage and Reiki. If you prefer one particular modality over another, I can do that. I base the choice of modality on the needs and preferences of the client. I also offer Reconnective Healing which is off the body energy work. My audio CD, Guided Massage for Everyone, provides step by step instructions so anyone can massage their family and friends. If you'd like other options for stress management and healing, I am also a Certified HypnoCounselor. Hypnosis is a heightened state of focused awareness that gently and effectively interrupts and replaces behavior patterns so you can easily make the changes that lead to new possibilities and behaviors. Hypnosis facilitates change in the following areas: weight loss, smoking cessation, pain management, stress management, insomnia, relationships, creativity, sports performance, confidence, public speaking and more. Call or email for a free consultation to see if hypnosis can help your particular habit or challenge.

Heal Your Body Naturally Through Craniosacral Therapy
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a light-touch method of evaluating and enhancing the craniosacral system, the environment in which the brain and spinal cord function. Spinal fluid flow from the brain through the spine to the sacrum and back to the brain creates a natural rhythm in the body. A block or restriction in the spinal fluid flow can inhibit the brain - your central nervous system - to receive vital information from the body, hence the body loses its ability to heal itself. CST helps remove these blocks that stand in the way of healing the body naturally. I also use a holistic approach in my treatments with the understanding that the body does not function without the mind and our thoughts and emotions have a direct effect on our bodies. Hence when we work on healing, it is inevitable that with tissue release, emotions release as well and thought/behavior patterns change for the better, which in turn has a healing effect on the body. This method is called SomatoEmotional Release (SER). Whether you are seeking relief from physical pain or illness, or you find yourself "stuck" emotionally, CST/SER could prove to be the new start you are looking for.

I like to think of massage therapy and yoga as methods of helping people feel better, and empowering them by creating a space to become more self aware. Once the distraction of physical stress or pain is lifted, we have the chance to take a breath and just feel good. Oftentimes, I see the stress across clients’ faces and almost literally the weight on their shoulders before a treatment. I believe holistic modalities like myofascial release massage and yoga (literally meaning “to yoke,” or “union”) give people a chance to feel their mind, body, and heart connection, and bring us back to what matters to us as individuals. When that same person walks out of the treatment room, I can tell that some part of them, maybe even just subconsciously, has remembered what it is like to rest, to breath, and to smile. I love this gift. Common problems that massage and yoga can help relieve include back pain, sciatica, shoulder and neck tension, whiplash, headaches, muscles spasms, muscle cramps, insomnia, and stress-related tension and pain.

Star Energy Healing-A Different Kind of Healing
When all aspects of ourselves are in balance--body, mind and spirit--we express more of our full potential as loving, creative human beings. Body-oriented practices such as Energy Healing, Massage and Bodywork can quickly bring us back to our center, where healing and awakening happens. When we are centered, we experience peace, balance, clarity of mind and joy. Stress melts away, and solutions to problems arise effortlessly. We are present and fully alive. Each of us has a "healer within" that is our source for deep healing and renewal. My work is about helping people connect with this part of themselves and be centered. To come back home to themselves. Some people are born with a healing ability, or through traumatic experiences develop that gift. I also know that this is a skill that can be taught and enhanced through specialized training. I've had the good fortune to study with several masters of energy healing who taught me to work with a whole spectrum of life energies that support healing and awakening. Benefits of Star Energy Healing * sense of spaciousness, openness, peace * feeling balanced, centered * lightness and effortlessness * insight and understanding, mental clarity * increased energy & alertness * pain relief, ease * hopefulness * freedom Life Energy Assessment At our initial session I ask clients to stand up while I evaluate both the quality and quantity of their life energy. Using extended perception, I look at each energy chakra (center), the whole body, and each person's energy field. This pinpoints the best areas to focus on during the session to get maximum benefit. Inner Light-Fire Then, I teach each client an energy meditation that brings a flood of Inner Light-Fire right into their body to cleanse and heal. Many clients continue to work with this meditation like process at home, to further their healing work. At each additional session I introduce other energy meditation "tools." These include techniques to cleanse a person's energy field, energy chakras and body-mind consciousness.
