Clarksville Family Therapy
Started in late 2011, Clarksville Family Therapy started as a venture between two Austin Peay professors, seeking to fill unmet needs in the community that they love. Since then, the practice continues to grow, increasing services and adding professionals to better serve their neighbors in the Clarksville area.
The professionals at Clarksville Family Therapy have varied and extensive experience across a broad range of concerns that typically affect individuals and families. If something falls outside of their expertise, they will coordinate a referral to a qualified professional in the area.
The art and science of massage therapy has been used for centuries and across cultures to relieve stress, promote health, and ease pain. Clarksville Family Therapy believes massage will help to attain mindfulness, a core skill often neglected in our society.
Education/Training
I studied massage/bodywork at Miller-Motte Technical College in Clarksville Tennessee. I successfully completed over 500 hours of specific and hands on training as well as clinical rotations. I earned an Associates in Applied Sciences with a specialization in Massage Therapy.
Bio
I am a licensed massage therapist (LMT) with specialization in deep tissue and Swedish modalities. It is my goal to help each client relax, believing that mental stresses manifest in physical pain. Focusing on problem areas, and personalizing my touch to the clients’ desires, I am able to help those who eperience my touch achieve a level of self-care they may not be able to on their own.
I provide relaxation focused massages, trigger point therapy, deep tissue, Swedish and sports massages.
Memberships
I am a member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals(ABMP) as well as a new member of the Clarksville Young Professionals of Montgomery County.
