Welcome to the wonderful world of Shiatsu and Thai Massage. My name is Lucy Trend and I’m a registered practitioner and teacher of Shiatsu and traditional Thai Massage therapies. I practise in both the City Centre and the West End of Glasgow, Scotland. I offer Shiatsu Treatments, Thai Massage treatments, Classes and Workshops, and Training Courses from beginner to professional level. I am also a trained doula and pregnancy specialist. She has also trained in Fertility, Pregnancy & Baby Shiatsu. Lucy holds classes for birth partners to learn how to use Shiatsu in labour, and for parents to learn Shiatsu & yoga for their baby. Lucy Trend is a teacher level member of the Register of the Shiatsu Society MRSS(T) and a member of the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC – the Department of Health recommended regulatory body) Lucy has been practicing and teaching in Glasgow since 1997. Her background is in dance performance and movement therapy. She qualified as a Shiatsu therapist in Montreal, Canada in 1996 and since then has been committed to continuing professional development. She has trained with Thai masters in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand since the year 2000, most recently visiting for a one month study of Thai detox massage in 2009. She teaches at the Glasgow and Edinburgh Schools of Shiatsu, and runs Thai Massage Training Scotland in Glasgow. She also holds corporate team building and self-development training for private and public sector organisations across Scotland. Sessions last half an hour or one hour and clients should book in advance. It is advisable to have a small meal approx one hour before treatment, and loose, comfortable clothes should be worn (please do not wear jeans, do bring clean socks, and something warm to wear afterwards). Tamsin practices Shiatsu acupressure massage for children and adults of all ages. She specialises in pregnancy, and loves to work with babies and children. She also runs Baby Shiatsu and Shiatsu for children classes. She has considerable experience (having been in practice for 20 years), including cancer treatment.
