MChelle- LMBT (Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist) Founder of Mind and Body 2009 Graduate, Sandhills Community College Pinehurst, NC Licensed massage and bodywork therapist, Chelle, is committed to giving her clients 100 percent of her attention and care during every session, which results in a high rate of both health, healing and customer satisfaction. “I love the fact that I am helping and educating someone at the same time,” Chelle says. “And when a client comes into my office in pain, and leaves feeling like a million bucks, that is my greatest reward.” A typical session with Chelle is professional as well as open. “I like to build a relationship with my clients,” she says. “I explain the different steps and modalities that will be covered during the massage, especially what will happen before and after (pre/post). When the session is over I inform my clients of my findings and make suggestions so that together we can build a positive wellness plan.” Chelle is also careful to teach all of her clients the importance of balance, stretching and a personal at-home maintenance regimen. Whether they are elderly, children or the handicapped, she encourages them to continually focus on their whole body health both on and off the table. Each client is professionally draped during the entire session. Stress Melts in The Hands, Not in The Body
The type of massage that I offer is a combination of modalities based on each client's needs. Most sessions start with a gentle rocking of the body. This helps me to determine which specific areas of the client's body need more attention. To relax the body and calm the nervous system, I generally start with flowing strokes. Once exterior muscles are relaxed, pressure is increased and I begin to work on more specific areas of the body. The massage is generally finished up with a relaxing facial massage and gentle circulation balancing. Clients may also request aromatherapy massage, heat therapy, energy work, and chakra balancing - either as stand alone treatments or in combination. Clients who come to the farm for a massage also have the choice of location for the massage: in my massage room, or weather permitting, out in the forest glen. Besides offering massage therapy services, I lead monthly country living workshops on the farm and offer a variety of plants from my greenhouses. I also make and present herbal products and crafts for sale in my little shop on the farm and at festivals throughout the area.
