Body Mechanics Massage Therapy is located in Edison NJ. Owned and operated by Susan Ring, NCTMB. At Body Mechanics Massage Therapy client's ages range from 3 days old (premature) to 100 years "young" with all types of Illness, Aches and Pains. Clients range from those who just want to pamper themselves, to those that want to address their Stress and Anxiety, Depression, Insomnia, Sciatica, Carpal Tunnel, Irritable Bowel Syndrome(IBS), MS, Fibromyalgia, Lupus, Cancer, and Many more. Massage not only feels great but it has many benefits.

At Body Mechanics Massage Therapy the over all goal is to teach the client that they have the power to heal themselves. Massage connects the Body and Mind.

This is not the place for your typical massage session. Here your first appointment will be a required two hour session. The first hour consists of Susan taking an in depth history of your aches and pains. She will then educate you about the different types of massage and how they may or may not be right for you at that time. The second hour is always a Swedish Therapeutic massage. This is so Susan can connect with your body tissue to understand how it feels and where the aches and pains may be coming from.

Each session is tailored for each individual and their needs. Susan uses her many years of experience and education to help to relax and release the tensions in your mind and body. The belief that is followed in Body Mechanics Massage Therapy is that a healthy individual is in tune with their mind, body and soul. Education
Susan is trained in over 21 different types / styles of bodywork. She has learned from some of the Professions top instructors from across the country and assists in continuing the education of Massage and Bodywork Therapists as a teaching assistant with some of those same instructors. Choosing the path to do the work verse teach the work, Susan passes on the many offers to take onthe role of teacher. In the past she had stepped up to volunteer for the massage profession when she spent 9 plus years on the board of the NJ American Massage Therapy Association. In her capacity there, she reach goals for the massage profession in many ways but none more evident then when as President, she personally worked with legislators to move a massage licensing bill into law in 2008. She has travel the country to attend various trainings to better help her clients aches and pains. With her wide range of bodywork training Susan is able to help deal with all types of conditions.
Bio:
Susan Ring, NCTMB is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and was an active Professional Member of the A.M.T.A. (American Massage Therapy Association) serving as a Board member from Aug 1999 to April 2008. Ending a two year term as President of the NJ Chapter in April 2008. She helped the Profession of Massage and Bodywork Therapist and the public by creating a successful Licensing Law and succeeding in getting the Profession Licensed in Jan 2008.

She also attend Rutgers University for Psychology and Biology, which is where she discovered a massage therapist and apprenticed with her while continuing her Rutgers education.

Susan has been working with clients since 1988 and is continually learning new ways to help her clients. She has learned from some of the Professions top instructors from across the country and assists in continuing the education of Massage and Bodywork Therapists as a teaching assistant with some of those same instructors. The office is a warm and inviting place to relax and heal.

$80 plus tax for the first session and then $65
