You Knead Therapy is located in Hair Games Etc. in Byron, Minnesota. Many different massage modalities are offered here. You Knead Therapy will be opening on July 12, 2010 at Hair Games Etc. Call now to schedule your appointments. Services include: Swedish Massage (Full body relaxation) Deep Tissue Massage Trigger Point Therapy Myofascial Release Chair Massage Pregnancy Massage Infant Massage (I do not massage your baby, but set up a group of 4 classes and teach parents/guardians how to massage their infants) Pediatric Massage Thai Massage Assisted Stretching Sports Massage I am always taking continuing education courses in massage therapy and will be able to offer more services to clients as I learn new skills!

Bio:

I am a Certified Massage Therapist (CMT), Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage (NCTM), Certified Infant Massage Teacher (CIMT), and a Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist (CPMT). Besides owning You Knead Therapy, I also teach massage therapy at Minnesota School of Business in Rochester, Minnesota. How I got started... Growing up I never imagined myself as a massage therapist. My career actually fell into my lap. When Minnesota School of Business was still being built I met with a school representative in a trailer in the school's parking lot. My representative helped me sign up for a couple of classes (Anatomy & Physiology and one hands-on technique class). After the first night of my hands on massage class I was in love. I knew from that moment forward this was what I wanted to do. Before I graduated I started working at a chiropractic clinic in Rochester, MN. There I provided clients with deep tissue and therapeutic massage as well as some stretching. After working at the chiropractic office for 2 years I was offered a great opportunity at Minnesota School of Business Rochester campus. My past instructor/mentor kept me in mind for the position and thought I would be great at it. Needless to say, I got the job and have loved it ever since. Teaching massage has definitely helped me hone in on my skills as a therapist as well as learn new modalities to teach my students. I'm very excited to be turning the page on a new chapter in my career. I again find myself taking advantage of a great opportunity to join Hair Games Etc. in giving their clientele more during their visit.
