Massage Therapy with a Healthy Attitude, Simple Approach and Guided Intention towards Holistic Body Care Specializing in Holistic/Detox Massage, Swedish/Deep Tissue Massage and Reiki Practitioner So what is a Holistic/Detox Massage *************************************** Simply put, a Holistic/Detox massage is designed to Increase your Circulation and Stimulate your Lymphatic system, which in turn helps your body to rid itself of toxins, which are usually stored in our fat cells. Sessions last about 50 to 60 minutes and include dry brushing prior to the massage to help exfoliate the skin . The massage helps increase circulation and lymphatic flow which helps detoxify the body and is directed towards areas that are more prone to fatty deposits. We use an Organic blend of Olive Oil and Coconut Oil and include 4 Essential oils which aid in detoxifying, purifying and tightening and toning the skin over time. So what is a Swedish Massage ************************************ Swedish massage is the style that comes to mind when most people think about massage. It is the most common and best-known form of bodywork performed today. The goal is relaxing the entire body and this is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes. Additional techniques include circular pressure applied by the hands and palms, firm kneading, percussion-like tapping, bending and stretching. Swedish massage is exceptional for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension. So what is Reiki ******************* Reiki Understanding Energy Work A type of energy bodywork, Reiki (pronounced ray-key) relies on the ancient belief in the life force energy, referred to as chi, that flows through all things. When this energy is disrupted by negative thoughts, feelings or actions, illness and disease result.. Thought to be Tibetan Buddhist in origin, Reiki is used to accelerate healing, assist the body in cleansing toxins, balance the flow of subtle energy by releasing blockages, and help the client contact the healer within. It provides a deep relaxation and sense of peace to the client.
