Bio: |
I have always followed my passions and “heart’s desires” in life. I find that at least if I love what I do, then the difficult times are not so hard to endure because, after all, I choose this path, and get to fulfill my heart’s desires.
My first passion was music, classical vocal performance. I went off to conservatory and graduated with Bachelors and Masters in Music, and for eighteen years pursued an operatic career. Due to life style choices I left this career and created my cottage industry chef and event planning company called Peggi’s Feast. This was another one of my passions in life. During the first fifteen years of running Peggi’s Feast I continued my pursuit in Mind/Body healing and became a certified and registered Hypnotherapist and Masterpractitioner of NeuroLinguistic Programming (NLP). I integrated my talents into rapport building skills to make a win win situation for both my clients and myself. I was also seeing clients privately to address how to efficiently change learned behaviors. After fifteen years of working eighty to one hundred hours a week in catering, I became aware of how limited my physical flexibility had become. The pain at first seemed the result of a sport injury but I came to realize that my habitual patterns and limited range of motion had finally gotten the best of me. I continued to seek ways to heal myself and through lots of trials and tribulations I came to therapeutic Mind Body approaches.
I have always been focused on the healing process, discovering how to have optimal balance in the pursuit of a happy and healthy life. It was time for me to further my path in this direction. I returned to school in order to pursue a degree in Therapeutic Massage Therapy. Together with the Feldenkrais (R) Method, Yoga therapy, Positional Release Therapy and Thai Massage, I moved beyond chronic pain. My continuing passion and new career in therapeutic mind bodywork is a culmination of self-introspection and a life long heart’s passion in holistic approaches to awareness and self-healing, empowerment and balance. |
