Practice Information |
I don’t burn incense, chant, or talk about your “energy fields” or “auras”. I do, however, use proven massage techniques to help alleviate your aches and pains.
I am licensed with the State of Delaware and have been nationally certified since 1990 and I am board certified. I was the President of the Delaware Chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association. I have taught at a massage school as well as traveled across the nation conducting classes on medical massage. My advanced training allows me to utilize many different techniques to help alleviate muscular/skeletal aches and pains, headaches, and other chronic conditions.
I think globally and act locally. That is, I look at your overall posture, health, and activities and relate them to your particular health problems. I then use various massage techniques to treat your specific concerns.
I firmly believe that patients can also help themselves. Sessions include useful suggestions on massage techniques, stretching, and exercises that can be done at home which are targeted for your particular conditions. I seriously love the power of massage. If you're serious about massage please contact me.” |

Bio: |
I absolutely love massage. And I know that, in the right hands, it is very safe and can be quite effective. My passion for massage has carried me into several areas of interest.
I have been a massage therapist since 1990. I have over 1,000 hours of advanced training in several modalities, including Swedish massage, Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue Massage, Orthopedic Functional Assessment, Trigger Point Therapy, Oncology Massage, Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Cranial Sacral, Acupressure, Shiatsu, Positional Release, as well isolated active stretching.
I was President of the Delaware Chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association for 6 years, during which time Delaware passed some of the most comprehensive legislation in the nation. I have also trained over 1,000 people in massage, from introductory training for the general public to basic massage training for therapist to advanced training on medical massage.
I’m committed to evidenced based therapies, that is, therapy that works, that is proven to be effective, not just something that is just wishful thinking. This is why many of my clients are other health care professionals such as physical therapist, chiropractors, nurses, and of course other massage therapists. |
