Practice Information
At Spectrum Bodywork, I focus on providing the highest quality massage and bodywork with attention to the client as a whole person. I started bodywork by learning to do hands-on healing/teaching - something I now call Presence in Healing. In order to do this work, I learned to increase my awareness of many aspects of consciousness and how they relate.
When I give a massage, whether it's a gentle, relaxing one or specific, deep-tissue work, I always include my awareness of the client and my ability to connect on an energetic level. This makes my work very effective and healing for my client.
I enjoy doing detailed therapeutic work and helping clients learn more about themselves and their bodies. For this reason, I have created a new type of bodywork which I call Journey Essentia. This combines massage with holistic energy work.
I also have worked in two different spas, and incorporate some spa-type treatments. In particular, I have a foot treatment utilizing a custom honey/avocado mask that nourishes and softens the feet.

Bio:
I come from a medical family, and have had a long interest in health and wellness. In college, I studied Biology with the intent of doing research in Marine Biology. After getting a Masters in Oceanography, I decided to make a career out of my passion for sailing.
In 1998, after spending six months hiking the Appalachian Trail, I really began my inner journey to learn more about myself and human consciousness. As I became more aware of myself and learned to make inner changes that improved my life, I developed a strong desire to help others. This led to the decision to attend massage school and become a massage therapist. So, in 2009, I enrolled in a course at the Scherer Institute of Natural Healing (now Santa Fe School of Massage).
