Practice Information |
If you are experiencing - constant pain or discomfort in your low back - a tightness in your shoulders or neck that never seems to loosen - headaches on a regular basis - stiff, swollen or sore knees - a decrease in flexibility Therapeutic bodywork may be right for you!!
Almost everyone can benefit from therapeutic bodywork. Your therapist, Jane Sochacki, will customize your session to meet your individual and unique needs utilizing myofascial release, craniosacral, visceral manipulation and zero balancing.
These modalities are beneficial in treating the following: back pain, jaw pain, headaches, whiplash, sciatica, adhesions (scar tissue), shoulder pain, fibromyalgia, neck pain, carpal tunnel, plantar fasciitis, and arthritis. Therapeutic bodywork facilitates the releasing of adhered fascial layers between fascia, skin, muscles, bones, spinal column and organs (similar to peeling an onoin). Therapeutic bodywork focuses on trauma and old holding patterns throughout your body encouraging your natural healing processes to react. During a session, you can just breathe and "let go".
Fascia is a three dimensional system of tough connective tissue throughout your body. When trauma occurs, a restriction develops in the system. A restriction is the result of fascia becoming adhered or "stuck". These adhesions are dense networks of "stuck" collagen fibers that can cause decreased flexibility or movement in certain areas of your body. This alters the natural and efficient alignment of your physical structure. Therapeutic bodywork facilitates your natural healing processes and can encourage your body to attain a more balanced and efficient alignment. |
