Kara got her massage education in beautiful Santa Fe, NM at the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts. The school’s extensive program supplied her with training to hone in on technique and yet still work using intuition and finesse. The result is that Kara’s touch is focused through knowledge of how the human body works yet still soothing to the muscles, even during deep tissue sessions. Kara is also knowledgeable in Reiki, Pregnancy Massage, and can help new parents learn to connect to their baby through touch.
Kara believes that a massage should be a soothing experience for the body, mind, and spirit. While many of her sessions utilize Deep Tissue or Medical Massage techniques, Kara does her best to make sure that the pressure and intensity of the massage is never taken beyond your personal level of comfort. Her belief is that true relaxation, of both tight muscles and stressed mind, cannot happen if the pressure is so deep that the entire body tenses in response. As a result, a massage with Kara will have components that are effectively deep to get out tight knots, yet others that will allow your mind to unwind and spirit to soar. You will leave refreshed and ready to get back to living your life. |
