Education |
I attended Cortiva Institute of Massage in Seattle for the 1000 hour massage program. It was very challenging and so worth it! I took extra classes for specific treatment massage, how to perform assessments and special tests as well as how to perform several different techniques. I have seven years of experience working for a doctor billing insurance and coordinating care with doctors - as well as working with attorneys and claims managers for auto and work injury claims. |
Bio: |
Welcome! Thank you for visiting my page! My name is Amy Halberstadt, Licensed Massage Practitioner, and Composer, Pianist. I would love to tell you a little about myself.
I have always felt drawn to help people. Helping someone move, listen to someone when they need to talk, volunteer at an elderly care home. When massage helped me recover from injuries due to a car accident, I discovered a new career for myself. I researched massage schools and attended Cortiva Institute of Seattle School of Massage in January 2008. Their extended 1000 hour program was a challenging and very rewarding program.
On another note, I learned to play piano when I was in 3rd grade. Music became instrumental for me in learning how to process my emotions, and became an essential way for me to share the music in my heart. First writing music in my teenage years, my young heart didn’t know yet what avenue this amazing gift would take me
As I neared the end of my massage program, I began to plan my massage business. I heard a cry from my heart to fulfill a long, deep dream of recording a piano CD of my music.
The words of music and massage came together, blending into a deeply rewarding career for me: helping others recover from their injuries, pain and tension in their body through massage, and sharing the healing art of music during those sessions.
I invite you to discover healing in your life. I am honored to walk with you and support you on your journey to health and wellness. |
