Portage Physiotherapy first opened its doors in Portage la Prairie, MB in May, 1995 at the original location on River Road. Humbly beginning as a 3 bed, one physiotherapist, one receptionist clinic, the focus then and still today is to provide excellent quality physiotherapy services while promoting client independence in an atmosphere of genuine care, interest, and respect.
In November, 2004 Portage Physiotherapy moved to its existing and larger location at 57 Royal Road North, at the time beside the new Portage Medical Clinic satellite office. In keeping with its teamwork approach to care, the staff has grown over the years to include 3 physiotherapists, 1 kinesiologist, 2 massage therapists, 2 foot care nurses, 1 office manager, and 2 clinic aides / office assistants. The current location was designed specifically to optimize the patient experience and consists of 13 treatment rooms and a 600 square feet gym area in a spacious (2600 sq. ft), relaxing, and professional environment.
In late 2013 the clinic changed ownership and became part of the inMotion Network of Physiotherapy Clinics and More. The clinic was quickly transformed into the consistent service, patient experiance and design and clinic layout as expected at any of the inMotion Network clinics.
