My name is Rachael Smith. I am a fully qualified and insured Complementary Therapist.
My practice is a home based treatment room and facilities with parking to the rear of the building.
My treatment room has an old fashioned rustic feel, ensuring every client is kept cosy and warm with a log burning fire and soft fleece blankets.
The treatments carried out at my practice are tailored to everyone's specific needs and requirements. Homecare advice and treatment is also offered with clients taking a blend of essential oils to use at home when needed. Most commonly a sleeping blend or a muscle relaxant blend.
I also offer home treatments in the comfort of your own home if prefered.
Day to day life can leave people with muscular tension whether it is caused through work related tasks such as long distance driving or sitting at a desk for a long period of time. Massage can be a very easy solution to the common aches and pains if dealt with correctly. A treatment plan will be devised through means of a detailed consultation and analysis of the muscular tissue, followed by recommendations and advice.
Reflexology is beneficial for restoring balance and harmony in the body and releasing tension. It can help facilitate a deep state of relaxation, calm the emotions, and produce a serene mind.
Many people describe a profound sense of relaxation and increased energy following their session. In addition, specific studies have shown that reflexology can reduce pain and anxiety, decrease premenstrual symptoms, and reduce fatigue and insomnia.
Education/Training
I completed a level 3 diploma in holistic therapies in 2008 and then went on to study a foundation degree in complementary therapy at bolton university.
I have also gained qualifications in hot and cold stone massage and Hopi ear candling
