Mark has worked with many runners and students of dance (formerly at Saffron Dance). He employs Swedish and deep-tissue techniques to relax and loosen tired and strained muscles, and provides relief and healing to over-used soft tissue by means of compression and stretching applications.

Mark is also committed to the concept of overall relaxation and its many benefits, such as improved circulation, stress reduction, and that feeling of overall well-being that a good, professional massage can provide.

Mark Herrenbruck, CMT

Mark is an experienced Certified Massage Therapist and a graduate of the Massage Therapy Program at Northern Virginia Community College. He is a mature practitioner who has enjoyed providing massage over many years and now offers his professional services on a mobile basis. Mark combines myofascial release and deep-tissue techniques with relaxing Swedish strokes throughout his sessions, tailoring each to his client’s needs. He prides himself in taking time with his clients to discuss and assess their therapeutic requirements.

A sports enthusiast throughout his life, he also practices sports massage, with a keen interest in providing the benefits of massage to the sport, dance, and exercise community.

Mark is a strong believer in the body's innate ability to heal itself and aspires to provide his clients with the stress reduction, improved circulation, and relaxation vital in allowing the body to recover, restore, and rejuvenate.

• 500+ hours of in-class supervised massage therapist training
• Certifications in CPR/AED and ASHI Basic First Aid
• Internship gaining experience in several massage settings, clinical environments, and outcome goals
• Study under a "Pain-Elimination Practitioner", learning techniques to deal with postural and
activity-related muscular discomfort
• Rigorous training in ethical and professional standards
