I offer theraputic , integrative various massage techniques and energy work for healing, health maintennce, and well-being of body, mind, and spirit. I have 16 years of continuing education and experience and together we create a healing enviroment for your specific needs and desires. I include the use of hot packs, ice massage, and aromatherapy. I offer 1/2 hour, one-hour, and 11/2 hour massages. It is my pleasure to offer my services to you
Education/Training
I have studied a variety of medical and body work techniques which include: neuromuscular, acupressure, myofascial, cranio-sacral, deep-tissue, swedish, lymphatic, and hot stone. I also have trained in energy work, training with an Aztec teacher of the Tetzkatlipoka tradition, Matrix Energetics, Quantum Energetics, and Reiki. I will always be a student in this incredible journey of the healing arts.
Bio
I worked for 7 years as a physical therapy tech on an orthopedic floor in an inpatient setting. I was inspired to pursue my education as a massage therapist by my experience working with people in PT. I attended the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts, and graduated in 1996, at which time I also recieved National Board Certification, along with my state license. I worked part time doing massage, while also working as a Medical Assistant at a local medical clinic for several years. In 2000, I was hired by the medical clinic where I was working as a Medical Assistant, to set up and maintain a massage clinic for their facility alongside their physical therapy department. I ran the massage clinic, and offered massage, while also doing public relations outreach programs. I was laid off in 2007, and with the support and encouragement of my clients started my own practice creating a comfortable, relaxing theraputic atmosphere working out of my home.
