Life In Balance Massage Therapy
Life Has Its Ups and Downs--Let Massage Balance Yours!
located at the corner of Big Bend and Dougherty Ferry Roads
Welcome to Life In Balance Massage--life has its ups and downs; let massage balance yours!
I offer several styles of massage therapy, from relaxation (Swedish and Hot Stone) to therapeutic and rehabilitative (Myofascial Release, Sports Therapy, PreNatal, Deep Tissue). Integrative Massage is the most requested, as clients can then combine several styles to best suit their circumstances.
Sessions are 60 or 90 minutes in length, and I offer reduced rates for more frequent appointments. Clients enjoy this benefit when they schedule bi-weekly or even weekly massages, short or long term. My practice is affiliated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, and we routinely coordinate treatment with other referring doctors, trainers, and healthcare entities.
Massage is offered currently by appointment only, as early as 8:00am, during your lunch break, and in early evening hours. Saturday hours (appointment only) are 10:00am to 3:00pm.
I also practice in Ellisville, near Manchester and Clarkson Roads, at Creekside Massage. In addition to the same styles of massage I offer at my Big Bend office, at Creekside we offer Couples Massage in what is--in my opinion--the best massage suite in town!
I believe that massage improves (just about) everything; however, I do not work outside of my scope, nor pretend to be a doctor. My practice includes a network of healthcare professionals, at every level, that share my mission to guide you to optimum health. I am happy to work on your behalf within this network to meet that goal.
Whether you seek time out of your busy life to just relax, unwind and destress, or have a specific issue, injury or condition to address, massage can suit your needs!

Bio
I entered Massage Therapy first as a client in 1997. I am also a registered dental hygienist (practicing enough to maintain my license) and the physical strain of the work caused neck and back pain, and declining range of motion. I had chiropractic treatment routinely for a year, and during this time had my first massage. That was truly an "AHA" moment, as I felt looser, pain free, and better than when I had begun my DH career.
I also learned a good deal more about the body's ability to heal from within, lifelong healthy posture and breathing habits, and was intrigued with serving people in a relatively stress-free environment. Ten years later, seeking a broader focus in the health and wellness industry, I began training at The Healing Arts Center, and opened my business in 2007. I am the very definiton of a massage convert (sounds better than 'groupie' or 'addict').
