Bio
Katcha has over 15 years experience in Sports Massage, and has been an instructor for other therapists. She earned 1,000 hour certificate at WIN Therapy massage school as a “Professional and Sports Massage Therapist” in 1998. She is also Nationally Certified, and a Member of the AMTA.
She specializes in injury recovery soft-tissue work. She served athletes at the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball tours 2007 - 2010, the Jose Cuervo Pro Beach Volleyball tours 2011-2012, and also works in the University of California Irvine's athletic training department. In 2000 and 2004 Katcha accompanied the Irvine NOVAQUATICS Swim team to the US Olympic Trials. She did her rotation through the U.S. Olympic Committee's Training Center in Chula Vista, CA in 2010. She supported our U.S. ParaCycling Team through the 2012 Road & Track season at national & international competitions, ending the season by supporting the selected Paralympic Cycling Team at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, UK. She continues to work with the National ParaCycling Team.
Katcha looks at how the body works & tries to make it work better & more comfortably through massage therapy, in part by taking into account the client's daily activities, stress factors, any history of injuries, as well as goals for future performance.
As an elite League Soccer Player for over 30 years, she exemplifies the “sports mentality”.
Katcha is proficient in additional modalities such as Lymphatic Drainage, Oncology, and Pregnancy massage.
