Christina Stout, NCTMB
As a bodyworker and birth tender, I have a passion for getting down to the heart of the matter and for guiding people through difficult and significant passages. I believe that within the hidden and untouched places in our bodies live our greatest strengths, the potential for unrestricted movement, an authentic and full range of human expression, and the means for deeper relationship with ourself, our purpose, and the world.
I am a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist, practicing since 2004. I love to get to the root of chronic pain and tension issues so that my clients can move more freely and live more fully. Clients find my work deep, connective, thorough, and effective.
I hold Advanced Certification in Prenatal, Postpartum, and Labor Massage for normal, complicated, and high-risk pregnancies. I am a professional Birth Doula, a Birthing From Within Mentor, and an Apprentice Midwife.

Bio
I have been Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and have Advanced Certification in Prenatal, Postpartum, and Labor Massage. I graduated from Boulder College of Massage Therapy in 2005 with over 1,000 hours of training, and have worked with over a thousand clients. As a bodyworker, I integrate techniques and principles of Sacred Lomi, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Swedish, Shiatsu, and Reflexology.
My perinatal work is grounded in my continued education with Elaine Stillerman and the Advanced Certification in Prenatal, Labor, and Postpartum Massage offered through BCMT. My birth professional training began through the wild journey of my own pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. In Spring of 2009, I began formal midwifery and doula training with Elizabeth Davis, one of the grandmothers of midwifery in the United States. Through her 11 week intensive, called Heart & Hands, I earned my certification as a Heart & Hands Doula. I am also pursuing CAPPA Doula and Childbirth Educator certification as well as training as a Birthing From Within Doula and Childbirth Mentor. I am also currently a student midwife studying with Beth Karberg in conjunction with the National Midwifery Institute.
My intuitive healing style has been shaped most profoundly by my Reiki and Shamanic trainings, and is constantly evolving through my own practice. I received my certification as a Reiki Healer and Teacher at Omega Institute in the Summer of 2003. I concurrently began studying Shamanic Techniques with Sandra Ingerman. I went on to study Vibrational Medicine and also apprenticed to two different successful intuitive healers while attending Boulder College of Massage Therapy. I continued my training as a Shamanic practitioner through the Foundation of Shamanic Studies, and have studied in-depth with Alicia Gates. My formal training in ceremonial and ritual artistry has greatly influenced my work; I graduated from Path of the Ceremonial Arts here in Boulder, CO in 2008. I am continually learning and growing as an intuitive healer through my work and personal experiences as a mother, lover, healer, bodyworker, doula, and midwifery student.
