Relax All Day owner, Cherrie Martineau, is a Nationally Certified Masseuse who customizes sessions just for you. Her range of expertise helps her blend relaxation with therapeutic touch so that clients get more than just relaxation--they get a magical relaxation experience that takes their stress and tension away! Cherrie also specializes in Prenatal Massage (after the 1st trimester) as well as trigger point, reflexology and focused sessions for areas that require more frequent sessions per week, such as neck or back tightness.
Education/Training
Bachelors of Arts degree in English from the University of Maryland at College Park. I trained for massage at the Potomac Massage Training Institute in Washington, DC.
Bio
Born in Trinidad, West Indies, I came to the United States as a child. I grew up in Maryland and worked in various medical offices after graduating college. My focus was primarily working in surgical offices in hopes of finding my true passion for a career. I came across massage after working in a chiropractic office and have been blessed to do this work as a full time career. Currently, I am collaborating on a docudrama, The Difference, as well as creating a private label product line to encourage clients to "Relax All Day." My passion for helping clients to relax is really what drives my other creative initiatives above. I believe massage should be an experience that takes you away from the daily stress of lifes ups and downs. I liken my sessions to ones you find at a destination resort spa. Hence, as my practice has evolved, I moved away from the typical day spa experience where you only get 50 or 80 minutes and have to be on a time clock. I think those are wonderful for beginners or as a treat, but my massage vision is one of coming to a place where the massage is consistently excellent for the time and money you spend.
