Types of Massage I perform:
Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage uses a system of long strokes, kneading, and friction percussive and vibration techniques on the more superficial layers of muscles, combined with active and passive movements of the joints. It is used primarily for full-body sessions and promotes general relaxation, improves blood circulation and range of motion, and relieves muscle tension. Swedish is the most common type of massage.

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue releases the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the grain of muscles, tendons and fascia. It is called deep tissue because it also focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue.

Pregnancy Massage
There is no other time in which bodywork can have as important an application than during pregnancy. When we begin to visualize pregnancy as far more than a physical state, and see it as a profound emotional, mental and spiritual process, it is clear that massage can be of great benefit to the pregnant mother. Woman have long held the amazing ability to influence the state of their bodies with their thoughts and feelings, and conversely, to allow their physical appearance or state of health to dominate how they feel about themselves as individuals.

Testimonials

I met Charles 3 years ago when I began training for my first marathon. As most runners know, you experience various pains, aches and injuries associated with high mileage and frequent runs. In particular, I like many runners, suffered from IT Band problems and sore hips.

Upon meeting Charles, I explained my conditions to Charles and requested that he pay special attention to my lower body. Not only did he know exactly what areas to pinpoint, he gave me a deep therapeutic massage on each visit. Prior to these visits, I had enjoyed relaxing/superficial massages at various fancy spas; however, upon visiting Charles, I never returned. I have trained for 2 more marathons since then and each time, Charles is ready and available to help me through those difficult months.

In addition to providing a deep massage, Charles would take the time to teach me stretching exercises and would even research ways to help me with my specific injuries. I learned that having a massage on a regular basis also helped and believe that making massages a part of my regular training routine has minimized my injuries and regular pains. Despite its therapeutic advantages, it just feels good! Charles is a friendly and sincere masseuse, who truly cares about making you feel your best.

I would recommend him to anyone, espec ially athletes, who need special attention.
Thanks,
Heather Stanley

I get massage because I work in a stressful environment and carry that stress mostly in my shoulders and neck area. I have been coming to Charles for about 2 ½ years. During this time I have received the most value for my money. I don’t spend frivolously, but I have found that gettin
