CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle hands-on therapy that is deeply supportive to the body’s system of "rest and digest" (parasympathetic nervous system). By facilitating release of restriction in the connective tissues of the body, it frees up the brain and spinal cord to function optimally. Proper central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) function allows for total body well-being.
SomatoEmotional Release is an extension of CranioSacral Therapy practiced by advanced therapists. It allows for emotional issues to be addressed and released for holistic mind-body wellness. There is no distinction between CranioSacral and SomatoEmotional Release sessions. Each session begins with basic CranioSacral techniques. SomatoEmotional techniques are utilized as appropriate, depending on your presentation in a given session.
"By facilitating the body's natural and innate healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for helping people with a wide range of healthcare challenges associated with pain and dysfunction, including:
Migraine Headaches Chronic Neck and Back Pain Motor-Coordination Impairments Colic Autism Central Nervous System Disorders Orthopedic Problems Concussions and Traumatic Brain Injuries Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Spinal Cord Injuries Scoliosis Infantile Disorders Learning Disabilities Chronic Fatigue Emotional Difficulties Stress and Tension-Related Problems Fibromyalgia and other Connective-Tissue Disorders Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome (TMJ) Neurovascular or Immune Disorders Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Post-Surgical Dysfunction" |
