Specializing in therapeutic massage geared at reducing stress, muscular imbalances, and chronic pain to create a sense of balance and overall well being..

We specialize in customized, therapeutic massage geared at reducing stress, muscular imbalances, and chronic pain to create a sense of overall well being.

My massages are never the same since I tailor my massage to what you present to me the day you arrive. The tools and techniques I use will be based on what you and I think will be helpful in getting you feeling better. My approach is usually different from what you have experienced from other massage establishments. I ask that you give it a try and trust the process since many have found it can work wonders without being painful. My deep tissue is about your nervous system being calm and me working at a level that is therapeutic.
Education/Training
BBA in Computer Information Systems, Graduated Connecticut Center of Massage Therapy in 2002, continued studies in Cranio sacral therapy, Thai Massage, Medical Massage, Lomi Lomi massage, Bamboo massage and acupressure.
Bio
I’m a Southern girl, born and raised in North Carolina. Though I joined the Army and traveled the world there is no mistaking my “Southern-ness”. I graduated Connecticut Center of Massage Therapy in Newington CT in 2002. After graduating I did a combination of personal training, massage therapy & wellness and nutrition consulting, but have been focused primarly on massage for the last 10 years.
My specialities include deep tissue, Thai massage, Sports, injury rehab, Swedish, as well acupressure and myofascial release. I also have had additional training in Thai massage, bamboo massage and craniosacral therapy. I am looking forward to taking a Lomi Lomi class and advanced Craniosacral class in near future.
After having my son by emergency C-section and experiencing nerve damage that affected my Right leg, digestive function and more I found out first hand how pain affects our lives. I was struggling with a child who also had health issues and trying to recover from my own. There was no magic pill. With massage, homeopathy and a whole lot of prayers I did recover and feel great today. I am thankful for God and all those who helped me along the way of healing and restoring my body. So I have first hand experience with pain and the recovery process. I know it can be frustrating and sometimes we just want to make the pain go away. But pain is a signal that something isn't working correctly and needs attention. Sometimes it's a major accident, surgery, life event that is overwhelming and hard from us to bounce back from but many times it is just the day in and day out stresses that are wearing us down and robbing us of our joy. I can help reduce your pain, get you back to doing the things you love.
I am passionate about bringing the therapeutic benefits of massage to as many people as possible. I think it is time for people to shift their thinking of massage – massage is no longer just a luxury but a wonderful and necessary component to their overall wellness plan. It can keep injuries away, help with recovering from accidents and injuries, reduce or eliminate need for surgeries, and the list goes on and on with the benefits of regular massage.
In our chaotic, over-stressed, overbooked lifestyle we need to do all that we can do to reduce stress therefore reducing all the ailments brought on and aggravated by stress. I think the cost of regular massage is a small price to pay for something whose benefits are life altering.
