How To Use Your Profile Features

It is CRITICAL to use your profile features. For example: find a news article in your field and post it on your profile. These posts get found by Google and attract new clients. The internet is a VERY competitive marketplace. You cannot just post a short profile and expect to start getting new clients. A good metaphor is a gym membership. You can't just join a gym and automatically expect to be in shape. Use your profile features to market your practice and attract more clients.

How to post an Article on your profile:

You can post professional and news articles on your profile. First, Login to your Control Panel. Choose Post and Manage Articles on Your Profile → Post an Article on Your Profile → then either type or copy/paste the information into the form.

How to post an Event on your profile:

You can post events such as groups, seminars, and workshops on your profile. First, Login to your Control Panel. Choose Post and Manage Events on Your Profile → Post an Event on Your Profile → then either type or copy/paste the information into the form.

How to post a Discount/Offer on your profile:

You can post discounts and offers on your profile. First, Login to your Control Panel. Choose Post and Manage Discount/Offers on Your Profile → Post a Discount/Offer on Your Profile → then either type or copy/paste the information into the form.

How to post a Blog Post on your profile:

Your profile comes with its own blog where you can share your experience, ideas, and advice. First, Login to your Control Panel. Choose Post and Manage Blog Entries on Your Profile → Post a Blog Entry on Your Profile → then either type or copy/paste the information into the form.

How to post a Recommendation on your profile:

If you enabled the Recommendations feature during signup, your profile can display recommendations from clients and colleagues. They do this using the Write a Recommendation button on your profile. If you want a specific person to write a recommendation for you, you can send them a link to your profile, and that person can then choose the Write a Recommendation button.

When someone writes a recommendation for you, you must approve the recommendation for it to appear on your profile. If someone writes a recommendation for you, you will receive a notification email. You then approve or deny the recommendation using your Control Panel.

First, Login to your Control Panel.

Important: If you do not see the Manage Your Recommendations link in your Control Panel, or the Write a Recommendation button on your profile itself, then you must enable recommendations on your profile as follows: Choose Edit Your Profile → near the bottom of the form you should check the box Allow Recommendations. Then choose Save and you will be returned to your Control Panel.)

Choose Manage Your Recommendations → then either approve or deny the recommendation.

How to post a video on your profile:

Note: This feature is only available to Professional members. First, upload your video to YouTube. Then Login to your Control Panel. Choose Edit Your Profile → then copy/paste the YouTube link into the Helpful Links section and save your profile.
