Gentle Intuitive Therapeutic Massage
I practice an eclectic blend of massage modalities, gathered over more than three decades of experience, and am constantly learning and refining my style. Underlying and encompassing all styles and modalities is the practice of Presence to my clients and their needs, with the qualities of Love, Compassion, and Non-Judgement. This means that whether you are receiving a deep-tissue massage, Shiatsu, or energy work, you are also receiving these qualities with my undivided awareness. My practice is in a Naturopathic Clinic with several other wholistic practitioners, including an N.D., acupuncturists, colonic hydrotherapist, mental health counselor, and energy worker. I have a great deal of experience working with people's pain issues, and many of my clients who have pain are referred to me from the naturopathic doctor. Since stress is at the root of so many conditions, stress relief and relaxation are a major component of every massage I give. I love to see my clients get off the table at the end of their session looking more relaxed, energetic, and flexible than when they arrived!

Relieve Your Pain Today!
It is my passion and life's work to heal the body. As a massage practitioner I've been practicing in the healing arts for over 5 years. I received my education at Ashmead collage and have several hours in continuing education where I studied a variety of healing modalities. I believe in tailoring a massage towards the individual needs of each client by using multiple techniques to get the best results possible. I pride myself on being a good listener and have over 6,000 hours of hands on time. My focus is to provide professional therapeutic massage for all individuals involved with injury rehabilitation and prevention. With my specialties ranging from the cervical, thoracic and lower pelvic area’s. Although I have my strong points of focus, I do work the full body and incorporate stretching and hydrotherapy throughout my treatments. In addition to massage I believe it is important to be healthy from the inside out and maintaining a balance within our lives is key. Good nutrition takes time and planning. Clinically proven Juice Plus+® helps you bridge the gap between the 7 to 13 servings of fruits and vegetables recommended by The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the nutrition you actually get with your busy schedule.

The Worries of Daily Life May Gently Fall Away as You Rise
to a Lighter, More Aware and Peaceful Place.
My bodywork practice is all about tuning in, not tuning out. I specialize in whole-person wellness and hold a safe space for the emotional side of bodywork to emerge. I deeply believe in the mind-body connection and find that emotional holdings can reside in the body. I often use a combination of therapeutic massage and Reiki energy work, allowing clients to find their path to healing. Clients often comment on the depth of my work, that is, I can provide a deep tissue therapeutic massage, as well as allow them to go to a deep state of relaxation and/or a deeply emotional place. I tailor each of my sessions to fit the unique needs of my clients, so no two sessions look the same. I meet each client in the present moment and listen deeply — with my ears and my touch — to understand what the body has to tell me.

John F. Barnes Approach to Myofascial Release
Is Your Pain No Longer Treatable by Traditional Healthcare?
The traditional medical approach is to medicate patients so they are temporarily free from pain; physical, occupational and massage therapies treat the symptoms caused by the pressure on the Myofascial system, which does not directly affect the cause of the problem. These traditional therapies frequently address pain as a lack of strength, which includes strengthening as a means to reduce pain. What is overlooked is the tightness in the soft tissue that is pulling the physical structure out of alignment, creating pain. Strengthening an already tight system often only makes the problem worse. While many could benefit from overall strength gains, weakness is not the cause of pain. MFR relieves the tightness and pressure from your body, allowing strength and function to return in a natural manner and returning you to your desired state. MFR addresses all areas, concentrating on the deep musculature. By taking the strain off the affected area, the body can resume its normal, healthy posture. MFR returns flexibility to the body after surgery or injury, decreasing or eliminating problems due to scar tissue. Only MFR treats the entire Myofascial mind/body complex eliminating the pressure of the restrictions in the Myofascial system that cause the symptoms. Often, MFR can eliminate pain from fascial restrictions so much so that the use of pain medication may be eliminated. Physical relief from pain can also bring the potential for simultaneous emotional release. MFR Treatment sessions are not meant to be a one-time, "quick-fix" for any issue. It has either taken time, or trauma for a person's body to get to it's current state, so the duration of treatment depends on the severity of the condition, how the individual's body responds, and the participation of that individual. The Healing Wind MFR Therapy Philosophy: The physical body stores everything you have ever experienced – emotions, beliefs, and memories – even events our minds have chosen to forget. So when we work with the body using both structural and energetic work, change occurs in more than just the physical structures and physiological functions. The body actually processes and releases energy that is blocking healthy functioning of the system – physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Working at an energetic and consciousness level, enables access to the reasons for imbalance. This means that when you allow yourself to be present and connect to both physical and emotional components, you can also connect to the past trauma, in order to clear the imbalance. Often, matters you forgot about, or thought you had already dealt with, on an intellectual level, come up. Emotions such as sadness, anger or fear may surface, but once they do, you may have some epiphanies related to the matter. It can be a new beginning that reveals aspects of yourself which you were previously unaware of.
