I have excellent results with pain relief, including migraine, neck, back, knee and ankle pain, as well as stress relief. I have alot of experience working with people who suffer from fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. I also work with couples interested in improving their fertility chances. I am a national board certified and state licensed acupuncturist. Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medical art which involves inserting thin, sterile needles into acupuncture points to balance the body's energy. It is highly effective for pain control and stress relief, as well as a multitude of disorders and complaints. Acupressure is based on one the most ancient principles of healing - that simply touching a specific point on the body will release stress and improve health in the body. In an acupressure session, I apply firm pressure directly to these "points" on your body, which relieves your muscle tension and improves your circulation. This simple and powerful technique has been shown to very effective in treating headaches, backaches, and even insomnia. Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session. Reflexology is a type of bodywork that focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones in your feet. Unlike other foot massages that intend to mostly relieve tension in the feet themselves, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into your feet. Reflexology treatments have been found to be highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression. Reiki is a Japanese form of energy work that cleanses and balances the energy system in the body. As a result, the body's natural self-healing mechanisms strengthen, helping to establish optimum health. During a session, I work directly with your energy field to remove blockages, detoxify your system, and restore your vital life force energy. Reiki utilizes a gentle laying on of hands to conduct the necessary energy force between us. The benefits of Reiki range from the release of habitual mental/emotional stress to alleviating chronic pain. If you’d like to set up an appointment with me, send me a message. I will call you back to confirm the details of your appointment, and also answer any questions you might have.

Therapeutic Massage & Clinical Bodywork
Massage therapy for pain relief and mobility. Medical and sports massage including myofascial release, deep tissue, and trigger point therapy. Just 5 minutes east of downtown Asheville, NC. Chronic Pain Relief Back, neck, and hip pain are the most common reasons why people seek medical massage therapy. Many people experience more relief from back pain with therapeutic massage than any other single treatment. No Pain, More Gain Unlike some pain relief therapies, this approach doesn’t require you to go through pain to get out of pain. Working within your body’s natural limits relaxes the nervous system and encourages the muscles to release. Structural Bodywork Postural distortions and muscular imbalances are the cause for most myofascial pain issues. If your body is structurally out of balance, it begins to function improperly, causing excessive wear and tear, and ultimately leads to pain.
