I am a NY Licensed Massage Therapist who for many years has followed a more natural and holistic approach to life. Educated at the highly regarded Finger Lakes School of Massage, I went on to become certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Body Work and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. For many years as an artist, I used my hands to sculpt and mold many different mediums. I found art to be therapeutic and meditative. "Art fuels the soul." After a traumatic injury, I was given the gift of therapeutic massage sessions to aid in recovery. The increased range of motion and reduction of scar tissue was amazing! Learning that massage therapy had many medical benefits opened my eyes to new possibilities. Massage therapy is transformative, both physically and mentally. I made the choice to walk down a new path, one that still enabled me to "sculpt" with my hands, and transform lives anew. But massage therapy doesn't just have medical benefits. Taking time out for oneself has many mental and spiritual benefits as well. We need to care for ourselves first, in order for us to care for others. Stress reduction, decreased recovery time, improved immune system functions, relief from tension headaches, better sleep - What's not to love about massage therapy? Compassionate, intuitive, with an ability to find those spots of tension you never even realized you had. Understanding the importance of a healthy body and realizing that many ailments can be treated with touch therapies fuels my ambitions to continue learning, exploring, and helping people. Through my training in many different massage therapy techniques, I design full body and target-specific therapeutic sessions customized to the needs of individual clients. Each massage is unique. I attended the Finger Lakes School of Massage in Mount Kisco, NY where I received my Massage Therapy and Hydrotherapy Certification on December 19, 2009. It was there that I completed my 1,000 hour New York state-accredited massage therapy training as well as a 10 week community service with Richmond Community Services day program.
